菩薩乘

(菩薩乘, 菩萨乘)

One of the 'five vehicles', which teaches the observance of the six (sa) pāramitās, the perfecting of the two [lang id =1028]利, i.e. [lang id =1028]自利利他 the perfecting of self for perfecting others, and the attaining of Buddhahood.

◆菩薩， 梵語具云菩提薩埵， 華言覺有情。 謂覺悟一切有情眾生也。 菩薩行六度行， 廣化眾生出離生死， 故以此六度為乘也。 （六度者， 一布施、 二持戒、 三忍辱、 四精進、 五禪定、 六智慧也。 ） ◆菩薩， 梵語具云菩提薩埵， 華言覺有情。 謂菩薩之人以六度萬行為乘， 運諸眾生同出三界， 故名菩薩乘。 （六度者， 一布施、 二持戒、 三忍辱、 四精進、 五禪定、 六智慧也。 三界者， 欲界、 色界、 無色界也。 ） ◆菩薩， 梵語具云菩提薩埵， 今稱菩薩者， 從略也。 華言覺有情， 謂覺悟一切有情眾生也。 以六度為乘， 運諸眾生， 同出三界， 而到涅槃彼岸， 故名菩薩乘。 （六度者， 一布施、 二持戒、 三忍辱、 四精進、 五禪定、 六智慧也。 ）
